Top 3 Things Wedding Couples Always Forget

Just married on Sebago Lake in Casco, Maine
Alone time on a boat on Sebago Lake, Maine

1- Planning time in the day for photos AND time alone! When we work together on your wedding day shot list and timeline I always build in enough time to make sure all your requested photos are taken, especially the formal family photos. I never want to be the reason the wedding couple is late for anything so having this plan ahead of time solves that. Time alone as newlyweds is important, and something you may not think about. Even 5 minutes to breathe each other in, have a drink, and a little food before going in to your reception can be the boost you need!

Tissues, plenty of tissues!

2- Emergency kit I've seen kit ideas all over Pinterest and lots have good ideas! Perhaps you can start collecting travel size items while you're grocery shopping during the wedding planning process. Things like small scissors, bandaids, Tums, safety pins, and tissues are at the top of my must have list!

Rain on your wedding day is good luck, right?

3- Umbrellas I looooove an outdoor wedding ceremony. There is nothing like mother nature setting the scene for your nuptials. However, there is always the chance on precipitation. Umbrellas can be really cute accessories for your guests and can double as favors! I always keep a few plain white umbrellas in my trunk just in case a June shower passes through while we're doing photos! They have definitely come in handy on more than one occasion!

What are some things you forgot on your wedding day that you think might be helpful for other couples heading to the altar?
