We started off at The Embassy Suites in Portland where Kayla and the ladies got ready. We met up with the guys at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church where lovely singing, stained glass, old wood floors, and cathedral ceilings captured our senses. After a touching ceremony the sun peeked out of the clouds and we snapped a few family photos and then headed over to The Woodlands Club. I have found that organization is key to making family photos as quick and painless as possible. A list of the names of who is to be photographed helps the formal portrait portion go by efficiently and smoothly.
So far 2018 has brought me a bunch of rainy wedding days. Why should this lovely wedding at the end of May be any different? Well, it was and it wasn’t. It rained, but the rain didn’t affect any part of Kayla and Ben’s beautiful day!
When we got there guests enjoyed a lovely cocktail hour on the deck and in the ball room. Kayla and Ben drove a golf cart around property capturing a few more portraits before kicking off the party at the reception.
It was a lovely wedding and I am so happy I was able to document this day for them! I wish them many years of happiness and can’t wait to see what the future has in store for them!
